When "Crazy Busy" is Good

The last few months of 2006 will go into the Cerionx history book as "crazy busy", but a strain of "crazy busy" that young companies like ours embrace with open arms. The entire Cerionx team has been focused on a few key goals: deliver more applications data that proves our brand promise, design and manufacture an updated state-of-the-art product, and expand our customer base. As we enter 2007, I'm delighted to say that "crazy busy" has resulted in several significant announcements for our company and for the industry.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Tecan, the world-renowned manufacturer of automated liquid handling workstations. Tecan will be our exclusive worldwide distributor for the 8-Channel TipCharger System in the biopharma market. Their automation expertise, industry leading position and excellent reputation for offering innovative solutions to its customers makes the company an ideal business partner. We look forward to seeing TipCharger integration on a range of systems including the Tecan Freedom EVO® series.

Since the fall, we've published an extensive set of application notes demonstrating the many advantages of incorporating the TipCharger System on automated platforms. A wide range of performance data supporting the use of TipCharger in genomic, biological, biochemical and immunoassays confirms what lab managers and scientists tell us every day - eliminating contamination at the sample and consumables levels enhances assay productivity and lab performance. Of course, the opportunity to increase throughput, reuse plastic tips, eliminate hazardous solvents, and reduce costs are all part of the value TipCharger delivers.

And, finally, our product design has been significantly upgraded. Labs can conveniently place the TipCharger Controller Module off the deck and use a retractable keypad for communicating with the on-deck Cleaning Station. Installation is faster and easier, and the system operates quietly and reliably.

We continue our commitment to offering labs every opportunity to enhance productivity, reduce research risks, and lower operating costs. And, we look forward to more "crazy busy" months if it translates to continued growth and success.
