Our History
Founded in 2000 as Microplate Automation, the company was renamed Cerionx at the end of 2004. The name derives from the Greek "cerauno" for lightning, and coupled with "ion" is an apt shorthand for the company's technology - Ionic Lightning. The company's technology is based upon patented methods for generating atmospheric pressure 'cold' plasma to improve liquid handling processes in pharmaceutical, biotech, and genomic research applications.
Cerionx is the sole owner and manufacturer of The
TipCharger System with three issued US Patents and multiple US and international Patents Pending.
Cerionx supplies The TipCharger System through instrument manufacturers and licensed distributors, and markets and supports systems directly to end users.
